Logistics Coordinator

Summary 

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Synchrogistics in Raleigh, NC. As a Logistics Coordinator (LC), you will be responsible for helping assigned customers move their products and manage their supply chains efficiently and cost-effectively. Day-to-day activities will include carrier communication, carrier sourcing and rate negotiations, problem-solving issues, and overall shipment management. 

Responsibilities 

• Supports logistics and transportation needs by tendering loads, carrier setup and load building for assigned business units. 
• Monitors and tracks shipment status throughout transaction. 

• Escalates customers’ and vendors’ issues to appropriate to team members or managers or account representatives; 

• Maintains continuous documentation in the TMS; 

• Perform other administrative and reporting tasks as required. 

• Duties and responsibilities may change, or new ones may be assigned without notice. 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, transportation, logistics, or related field preferred OR 

• 1-2 years relevant experience and a high school diploma or GED required. 

• 1 year of customer service experience is required. 

• 1 year of call center experience preferred. 

• 1 year of data entry experience preferred. 

 

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities 

• Proficient using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, & Teams) 

• Proficient computer skills and able to quickly learn new software systems and platforms. 

• Basic knowledge of industry software and load boards such as Revenova, DAT, TruckStop, and Carrier 411. 

• Utilizes mathematical equations to quickly solve for transit information 

• Learns quickly and is able to utilize training to analyze issues and initiate resolutions. 

• Able to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task duties, and recognize when to ask for assistance. 

• Attention to details and strong organizational skills 

• Demonstrates professional, clear and concise communications skills both verbally and written. 

• Able to use positive language with empathy and patience. 

• Active and attentive listener, showing interest and curiosity to better understand customer needs. 

• Team player and fosters a positive work environment. 

• Accountable & self-motivated, service oriented, and proactive in problem solving. 

• Demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
