Position Overview: 

We are currently looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team and help be the face of the company! We are looking for candidates who are self-starters with a proven track record of success. With a growing national customer base, we are expanding our sales force and looking for an entry-level Sales Rep to train in logistics brokerage.

What You’ll Be Doing 
  • Build your own book of business by learning the client’s needs and becoming their expert 
  • Hunt new opportunities by calling leads from several different marketing campaigns 
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage all lead activity and opportunity creation 
  • Navigate social media and professional network websites for prospects 
  • Help to get your customers’ freight moved from point A to point B 
  • Assist in customer requests for quotes (RFQ) 
  • Provide support to carrier teams as needed 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics or related field; OR 
  • 2-3 minimal years of relevant sales experience; 
  • Natural conversationalist and comfortable communicating with a large variety of potential customers 
  • Willingness and desire to put forth the effort in generating new sales opportunities. 
  • Salesforce experience preferred 
  • Proficient with LinkedIn 
  • Experience with a TMS preferred 
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 
  • Excellent written & interpersonal communication skills with the ability to convey over the telephone 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) 
  • Customer service mentality with a serious sense of urgency 
  • High energy, independently driven and self-motivated for success 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Natural positive attitude 
  • Professional demeanor with strong integrity 
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate and influence 
  • Strong ability to negotiate
